Anime Collectibles: How to Tell a Great Statue From a Cheap One
Layer lines, seam placement, paint transitions and base design — the details serious collectors check first.

Look at the hands. Fingers are the hardest geometry to print and the first place a rushed job shows. Well-executed hands have separated, individually shaped digits with clean nail definition.
Then check seam placement. Multi-part statues must join along natural lines — belts, hairlines, armour edges — never across a cheek or a bicep.
Paint transitions matter more than paint colour. Gradients should be airbrushed and smooth; hard banding means a spray can and a hurried schedule.
Finally, the base. A weighted, purpose-designed base signals a studio that thought about display. A flat black disc signals an afterthought.
Every statue we ship is photographed from six angles under studio lighting before it leaves. If you cannot see the sculpt clearly in a seller's own photos, assume there is a reason.
